REVIEW: Chromatic Flights - Favorite Cat Ep

7.5 out of 10

Chromatic Flights is the hazey/extremely fuzzy Indie-Electronic Dream Pop side project of Kyle Wyss who is one half of Blind Man's Colour. So far Chromatic Flights have released 3 EP's, all of which are FREE on Monotonik. For that price you can't go wrong.

On "Favorite Cat Ep" you will hear plenty of fuzzy (comparable to Khonnor) electronic samples transmitted and broken down into incomprehensible distortions via radio waves of undeniable warmth and childlike qualities. You will also hear (underneath all that terrific noise) relaxing vocals, insanely catchy keyboard riffs, and simple but more than effective drum machine loops.

If you're looking for your next favorite Indie Electronic artist give Chromatic Flights a whirl, it's free, and it's pretty f-n' awesome. For fans of Blind Man's Colour, Khonnor, Atlas Sound, Animal Collective, Dntel, The Postal Service, etc.

Standout Tracks: Orangle Balloon, Favorite Cat (ridiculously terrific song), The Story Of The Sun
