REVIEW: Peter Broderick - Music For Falling From Trees

7.75 out of 10

"Music For Falling From Trees", Peter Broderick's 5th album, is a score he did for a contemporary dance production created by London-based choreograph Adrienne Hart. Like many other Neo-Classical artists Mr. Broderick's sound should not be ignored anymore. Most Classical musicians evoke heaps of emotion when it comes to their music, that being said; with Peter Broderick you will get sad, powerful, wonderful, scary, warm & cold all in one shiny unbelievable sound.

Tons of strings, LOTS of piano, rich/lush swells & crescendos, and more emotion than one artist should be able to display. The songs undulate between relaxing quite ambience to emphatic/paranoid apex's of beauty and fear.

My favorite Peter Broderick album is definitely "Float" for it's brilliant atmosphere, but this would be #2, I like "Music For Falling.." for it's somewhat "classical" approach to Classical music. For fans of Neo-Classical, Olafur Arnalds, Max Richter, etc. RECOMMENDED

Standout Tracks: Pill Induced Slumber, The Dream (gave me goose bumps), Electroconvulsive Shock, The Patch To Recovery
