REVIEW: Siriusmo - Mosaik

7.5 out of 10

Fans of French House meets the "playfulness" of Mouse On Mars meet your maker. Siriusmo's "Mosaik", out on Monkeytown Records (Modeselektor's label!), is a glorious representation of/homage to terrific & daring dance beats with intense electronic noise spurts as well as all the Gritty Pop you can handle.

Perhaps "Mosaik" is a decade in the making, it has the vibe of combining/placing together all the great elements form Siriusmo's (decade spanning) career. Take all the best parts of Boys Noise, Justice, Mr. Oizo, Sebastien Tellier, etc. throw them into some sort of turbine engine (powered by IDM) and spit them out into one precise factory-assembled dance score. The cover speaks miles for the sounds within.

You can dance if you want to.. but you probably shouldn't leave your friends behind, I think they'd like this music too.

Standout Tracks: Sirimande, Mosaik, Bad Idea, 123, Idiologie, Einmal In Der Woche Schreien (could repeat this all day), Nights Off (damn sexy), Peeved (I'm not sure what's going here, but I like it), Feed My Meat Machine (uh huuuh)
