OK, so both of these bands have been at it for a while now, but I still think they are worth showing off. Février is Connor Etges out of Colorado. If you follow the player to his Bandcamp page you may find a few more goodies;) Missions are from Texas, they also have one more track (a newer one) on their Bandcamp page. While both of these bands have separate sounds going on for them, I also think they work together ..don't you?

Psychic Powers Bio:
Psychic Powers were formed in 2007 by Nik Brinkman of Over The Atlantic and Alejandro Cohen of Languis. The two met briefly in Los Angeles while Nik was on tour. They then decided to collaborate and write songs together via the Internet from their home countries, New Zealand and the United States, respectively. The main musical influences of Psychic Powers come from record labels such as 4AD, Flying Nun, Sarah, Factory, and Creation Records.

What are you currently listening to?

Can you tell us a little bit about the band name and where you guys originally met?
We were interested in the whole idea of mysticism, pyramids, mind reading and other unsolved mysteries. Psychic Powers seemed to appropriate and suitable.
It seems like you've had a bunch of material floating around online for a bit, can I ask what took so long with the debut LP?
We both live in separate countries (USA and New Zealand) so working on music over the internet definitely slows things down. The record has been finished for a year now, it just took a while to get out through a label.
What is the overall theme on "Infinity"?
"Infinity" cover a lot of ground in terms of our influences. We love dance music, we love Pop, Adult Contemporary, Disco, and Acid House. It was really an exploration of all those themes and trying to combine them in a coherent collections of songs.
Will you be touring for this release?
We hope!!!
After you've had a moment to catch your breathes will you guys be getting back to your other projects (Over The Atlantic & Languis) to work on follow up releases?
OTA and Languis are ongoing projects and will keep releasing music under those names. Neither one of us stops one project to work on the other one, they all move forward at the same time.
Where do you see yourselves 20 years from now?
Transferring song files to each other with our minds instead of via the internet. Psychic powers!!!
You can only keep/listen to ONE album for the rest of your life ..which album would it be?
I think Jesus and Mary Chain's "Honey's Dead", or Northern Picture Library's "Alaska"
Are you living your dream?
I think so, considering we have none.

REVIEW: Psychic Powers - Infinity
8 out of 10Being in a band can sometimes be hard. We all know about the hardships of drugs, alcohol, promiscuous sex, blah-blah etc. But what I'm specifically referring to is scheduling issues/conflicts, finding the right time to jam/practice. Being a band who only jams via internet can be a little tougher, (probably) especially when you're in different time zones. However, Alejandro Cohen (Languis) and Nik Brinkman (Over The Atlantic) somehow found the time to do so. Although it may be about 2+ years in the making (a grueling wait at some points) Psychic Powers official debut "Infinity" was well worth the time (and then some).
"Infinity" is one of "those type" of Indie albums. The kind that takes the best qualities of different genres and mashes them into a giant cohesive beauty. "Infinity" is equal parts 90's Dream Pop, 80's New Wave, and Indie Pop shimmery brilliance. Truly, if you're a fan of Psychic Powers' "other projects" (mentioned above) you WILL love this project. Every song is uplifting, somewhat romantic, a little idealistic, and just plain simple & pleasurable enough for ANY set of ears to enjoy. If you listen to this album it will most likely end up on your year-end list somewhere, can't see why it wouldn't. Crisp drum samples, highly melodic vocals, "clean sounding"/distorted guitar tones, retro synths (80's), and great bass lines. Every element that makes up for one hell of a catchy album if you ask me.
These songs are perfect for the upcoming warm days, perfect for sharing with your lover & friends, and most importantly perfect for you. One of my favorite albums of the year. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Stop reading, START LISTENING.
Standout Tracks: ALL. Especially; Glide (reminds me of Violens), Wonderland (gorgeous), Brighter, Gold (2.5 minutes in.. love the bass line ..nice ender:)
