8 months ago someone close to my heart died tragically and unexpectedly. I took to music for healing purposes and made these songs. I can't imagine revisiting them now and working them to a different level of completion, so here they are, untouched as of when they were created last October.

A little bit ago EIC posted Lobo Incognito's latest LP 'De La Vivid'. (in-case you're wondering/missed out) The album is terrific (a grand mix of catchy Nu-R & B w/Soul meets Indie Electronic Hop), enough to make me check into their earlier work 'Chill In Limbo'.. I, i can't. sseem to stop playing it over and over and over and over (and over as well) and over again ..I gotta tell somebody.

I posted an album of Red Alder's a bit ago. I decided to catch up on this artist yesterday to see what, if anything was new.. I came across this beauty (+ a few more;). 'Hyper Vertical' reminds me of a "more pristine"/piano-driven Grouper meets a slightly more somber/melancholy Taxi Taxi!. If you know me, you know these are two highly regarded comparisons, also (as you may suspect) I am officially addicted to Red Alder now. Waking up to something so beautiful really starts your day off the right way.

Swarms - Pandora

I'm in-love with this track. "Pandora" has the atmosphere of an Ambient Cocteau Twins track dabbling in Chill Wave and/or Space Pop. Actually, the entire EP is really amazing as well, the songs sway back and fourth from moody Electronica to Hazy "Nu R&B" to gorgeous Ambient bliss etc. Do yourself a favor and join me in my addiction?

Chelsea Wolfe - Benjamin

In a way this song gives me the chills. "Benjamin" is my favorite song off of "The Grime And The Glow". Seriously gorgeous piano work here. I don't care if it technically came out late last year, I'm saying Chelsea's debut opus is a contender for this years best album.. Please, please get yourself acquainted with her NOW.

Wise Blood - Loud Mouths

I think these guys are gonna be pretty big next year. I'm not gonna even try to slap a genre on this one though. Wise Blood is all over the map. Just trust me when I say it's catchier than the guy behind home plate (hint: not the umpire). Also, make sure to check out THIS EP in the meantime (if you haven't done so by now).

This one's a bit of a creeper/slow moving, but I assure you your time is worth it (plus some). Perfect droney bliss for cold-wet weather ..you should probably headphone this track.

An "accidental" find on the internet.. This song is so gorgeous it just may bring a tear to your ears. If it's raining where you are right now, you need this more than you need oxygen. Fans of Sigur Ros and/or Miko take note.

Balam Acab - Big Boy

I know-I know, I may have said this a couple times now, but seriously this has got to be one of the best tracks you will hear all year. So close to perfection. My only complaint is that it's a little short, but that doesn't hold me back from obsessing over it.. Make sure to check out Balam Acab's "See Birds EP" (if you haven't already done so by now) off of the highly blogged about Tri Angle label ASAP.

Wintercoats - Cathedral EP

Just stumbled across these guys a couple days ago ..I think I've listened to this EP about 10 times since. Think of a mellow Mahogany with pretty/(incredibly)catchy strings. For some reason a "male fronted Cranes" meets the "plucky attitude" of Amiina also comes to mind.. Please? ..GET THIS NOW?!?
